I. Program Overview

Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) is recognized as a Demonstration Base for International Education in China by the Ministry of Education. Over the past three decades, HIT has provided a variety of short- and long-term Chinese language training courses to tens of thousands of international students from around the world, earning the reputation: Learning Chinese, come to China! Learning Mandarin, come to Harbin! Learning standard Mandarin, come to HIT!

II. Program Characteristics:

The long-term Chinese language training program offers comprehensive and diverse courses, organized into three levels: elementary (including beginner), intermediate, and advanced, with nine sub-levels. The program focuses on enhancing students’ listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills through intensive training, aiming to comprehensively improve their Chinese language proficiency and communication abilities.

III.  Program Duration

Spring Term: March, 2027 - June, 2027 (Application Deadline: January 15th,2027)

Fall Term: September, 2027 - December 2027 (Application Deadline: July 15th ,2027)

IV. Fees (CNY)

① Tuition Fee: CNY 7300/Semester（16 weeks）

     Tuition Fee: CNY 14600/Year (16 weeks per semester, with a total of two semesters.)

② Insurance Fee: CNY 400/half year; 800CNY/year

③ Application Fee: CNY 500

④ Accommodation Fee: CNY 800-1,000/month/bed (Excluding water, electricity and internet fees, random accommodation room assignment)

Note：All fees paid are non-refundable. On-campus dormitory accommodation is subject to advance reservation. We are unable to guarantee housing placement for every student.

V. Eligibility

① Applicants must be citizens of countries other than the People's Republic of China

② Applicants must be in good health both mentally and physically

③ Applicants must be 16 years old or above. (Applicants under 18 years of age are required to submit a minor Guarantee Certificate.)
