我眼中的哈工大 |

I arrived in Harbin about two months ago. My first day in the city was a little scary. I didn’t know anyone or could talk Chinese. But that changed really fast. I was received very kindly and nicely. I made tons of friendship with people from all over the world and I’m also speaking a little Chinese. But that’s not all, by living on the HIT campus around so many different people from different nationalities I had the chance to learn about different cultures which made me grow a lot intellectually.
There are some unique things in life and this is one of them. Learn to deal with our differences is not easy, because we were rased in extremely different societies. But this makes us be a more flexible and opened minded person to all that might happened to us. I love here at HIT I don’t think I would be able to leave the experiences I’m having here anywhere else. I wouldn’t change this for anything!!!

大家好，我叫张麦，是从丹麦来的。二月末我来哈尔滨学习汉语，学了一共两年半的汉语。
我以前听说哈工大是一所很有名的大学，中国最好的大学之一。我自己的感受是一样的。留学生中心的老师都很合格，有问题他们很认真给我说明，而且也很关心学生身体健康，学习情况。
我第一天到哈工大，老师和职员对我很和气，帮我报名，还陪我去留学生公寓。到了，我一点儿紧张也没有，很镇静也很轻松。公寓很安全，离食堂和超市很近，方便极了。
我在这儿很快交了朋友。我隔壁两个女孩都很开朗。我刚来的时候，十分热烈地欢迎我。我们班的同学也交往得不错，常常下课以后一起吃饭，聊天。
我很高兴认识了那么多好朋友。我回国以后很难忘记在哈工大过的一个学期。

Although I have been in Harbin Institute of Technology for only less than 2 weeks, I can already say I like to live in it.
HIT is a place to both study and live. It is like a big village where there are classes, supermarkets, barber shops, restaurants, canteens, bars and dorms. It is a very lively place where all the students are living together, take part in many activities and are welcoming.
Therefore, as a foreign student, it is very easy to socialize and to feel part of the students’ community. I can meet Chinese students and practise my Chinese anywhere and anytime: in the canteens during diner, on the playgrounds in early morning or even in dorms after class.
Even if I am still French, I am no longer a “foreigner”, but a part of the HIT students’ community. |

我记得第一次到工大就是跟我在泰国的大学一起来的。当时我对哈工大的印象比较深所以决定再来哈工大学习中文。时光过得真快，我已经在这儿两年多了。来到哈尔滨之前自己觉得会不会适应这里的环境、气候、饭菜等等，但到了之后任何问题都没有。几乎不用适应新鲜的环境，我只是天天开开心心地过日子。
我是因为在国内学了一点儿汉语之所以到这儿只会读拼音。在生活方面上问题不是很大，多亏朋友们帮我解决了所有的麻烦。虽然在语言方面上使我们聊天儿时出现各种各样的问题，但是最终我们还是克服了这些问题，身体语言。学习方面上，我觉得如果当时没有老师辛苦地教不懂中文的我，就没有今天的我。回头想第一天上课时，由于老师亲切的表情使我上课时没有紧张，过得比较顺利。而且我也被老师的努力和拼命地教我打动了。我看了老师这样的行为感到非常感动和高兴。我学习的心情和气氛就活跃起来了。这里不但充满了学习气氛，而且学习的内容也很多，使我们的中文进步得很快。
对我们泰国人来讲这里的语言环境相当好。原因在于泰国人的数量而这里的标准普通话。另一方面就是哈尔滨的气候，一年四季分明。我觉得不无聊，不像泰国一年三个季节，但总是很热。哈尔滨的天气从很热到很冷，什么都有。在泰国的时候，总听到这句话“小心点儿，你会冻死啊！”。但我认为百闻不如一见。哈尔滨人还活着，那我为什么要冻死呢？现在我还活着在这里生活了两年。
在这里学习的时间也不算短的我，被很多人问道为什么一直在一个地方学习。我看很多人每个学期换一个地方，个人都有自己的想法嘛！还是哪儿各地方对自己更合适而已。不论大家都在什么地方学习，只要真用心，就会成功的。 |

我先自我介绍一下儿。我姓马，叫马上，我是也门的学生。我的国家派我来中国学习一年汉语。一年以后我上大学本科学习专业课程。我的专业是通信与信息系统。
2006年9月起，我在哈工大开始学习汉语，原来我以为汉语很难，不过学了四个月后，我发现汉语并不太难，因为汉语的语法比其他语言要容易一点儿。我觉得汉语最重要的是词语用法，再加上发音要标准。虽然汉字的笔画很多，不像英语一样有一些字母组成，但是你看两三遍就可以记住个大概。
我还没有学完七个月的汉语课程，不过我已经认识了很多汉字。我现在最大的问题是发音不太标准，别人常听不懂我的话。
我觉得汉语很重要，因为中国是一个发展很快的国家，在其他国家经常看到中国制造的东西。所以我要努力学好汉语。 |

I didn’t have much idea of what to expect, traveling to Harbin, other than that the ‘Ice City’ has a reputation for painfully cold winters, and boasts the purest Mandarin Chinese in the Middle Kingdom.
The first proved untrue— -20℃ is surprisingly bearable if you wrap up warmly. As for the second, teachers here are fond of saying “To learn Chinese, come to China. To learn Mandarin, come to Harbin. To learn standard Mandarin, come to HIT.” Despite years of studying Chinese, I’ve been singularly impressed with the quality of HIT’s teaching staff, and our teachers have been consistently professional, dedicated and knowledgeable.
From obscure etymologies to unusual slang, and from finding a flatmate to picking a restaurant, every teacher has been more than happy to help my classmates and I in, and out of, the classroom.
在来哈尔滨之前，我对这个城市并没有太多的印象，除了知道是一个在冬天冷得让人觉得痛苦的冰城和这里人说一口地道的汉语。
第一个印象被证实是错误的——如果包裹得好，零下20摄氏度竟然还是可以忍受的。至于第二个印象，哈工大的老师喜欢说“学汉语到中国；学普通话来哈尔滨；学标准普通话来哈工大！”
尽管我已经学了很多年的汉语，但这次哈工大教职员工的素质还是给我留下了深刻的印象。我们的老师们都很专业、敬业并且学识渊博。
从晦涩的词源到不寻常的方言俚语，从寻找室友到推荐餐馆，在课堂内外，每个老师都非常乐意帮助我的同学们和我。 |
